1Hope4Africa had the desire to open a second baby home due to the incredible need South Africa faces. We started fundraising in 2019, and the Lord provided sufficient funds to purchase our second home. It is a 3-level home, which can take a maximum of 6 babies at a time, 2 cots in each room. The doors were opened to our first baby in March 2022. We call it Atlarela Baby Home. Atlarela is a deep setswana word that means to hold tightly because you love and care. This is a home of safety located in Faerie Glen, Pretoria East. Though we are a temporary place of safety for the babies who come into our care, we welcome them with joyful hearts and love them as best as we can during the special time they are in our home. The staff, Aunties, and baby home parents work patiently to provide excellent care for the precious little ones until they are placed into their forever families.
