Muphamuzi Baby Home was opened in 2012 and is a bridge between abandoned and cherished where safety is found, a family is given, and hope is restored. Here, members of Living Hope Church provide exceptional, nurturing, round-the-clock care for precious little ones who have been abandoned. But exceptional care is not the ultimate goal of the home - it is finding permanent Christian adoptive families for each child who comes. It is run by 1Hope4Africa, a non-profit organization that is closely tied to Living Hope Church. All of the staff of MBH are members of Living Hope Church.
In South Africa, there are approximately 1,000 babies abandoned each month. Continually we must say no to babies who need a place of safety and it is thus our prayer to open another baby home, in Pretoria East. This would give us a strategic location to serve the community and township of Mamelodi, to partner with another Child Protection Organization in the area, and to be closer to our management team. Please pray with us that we would continue to move forward trusting the Lord to provide in His perfect timing for His glory!
